TLR4-MyD88-NF-κB Signaling Imbalances Th17 and Treg Cells in Thymoma With Myasthenia Gravis

TLR4-MyD88-NF-κB Signaling Imbalances Th17 and Treg Cells in Thymoma With Myasthenia Gravis

TLR4 is stimulated in thymoma, causing an increase of Th17 cells and a decrease of Treg cells, namely an imbalance of Th17/Treg cells, resulting in MG.

TLR4, MyD88, and NF-κB were expressed more in MG thymoma compared with simple thymoma.

Causal Relationship Between Gut Microbiota and Myasthenia Gravis: a Bidirectional Mendelian Randomization Study

Causal Relationship Between Gut Microbiota and Myasthenia Gravis: a Bidirectional Mendelian Randomization Study

Source : https://cellandbioscience.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s13578-023-01163-8

Observational studies have demonstrated an association between gut microbiota and myasthenia gravis; however, the causal relationship between the two still lacks clarity. Our goals are to ascertain the existence of...

The results demonstrated that the families Clostridiaceae, Defluviitaleaceae, and Enterobacteriaceae were negatively correlated with risk of MG, whereas the genus Lachnoclostridium was positively correlated with risk of MG.
