But looking at biomarkers is very important on disease diagnosis, progress or setbacks and managing medications and the need to alter care depending on these biomarkers especially since many medications aren't safe in pregnancy (which the article focuses on, pre and post pregnancy). The more we know about the physiology of this disease process the more ways the chain of inflammatory events can be broken and this is where disease management comes into play because new medications can be developed to break the cycle anywhere in the chain. -
