Synthesis of bisuracils with pentylammonium group as the specific ligands for acetylcholinesterase vs. butyrylcholinesterase. * Lead compound 2h is a selective slow-binding inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase. * Administered to rat, compound...

Conclusions: Moreover, compound 2h ameliorated muscle weakness in myasthenia gravis rat model with a lower effective dose and longer lasting effect than pyridostigmine bromide. Besides, it was shown that compound 2h has an effect of increasing efficiency of antidotal therapy as a pretreatment for poisoning by organophosphates.

Characterization of Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor-Induced Myasthenia Gravis Using the United States Food and Drug Administration Adverse Event Reporting System - PubMed

Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare but fatal adverse event of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI). We assessed whether patient characteristics differed between those with immune checkpoint inhibitor-related MG and those...

Conclusions: Considering the physiological muscle weakness that occurs in the elderly, it may be necessary to monitor ICI-related MG more closely in older people.

We observed a higher incidence rate of autoimmune diseases, especially rheumatoid arthritis, in MG patients after thymectomy. The most common types of ADs after thymectomy were different from those before...

Conclusions: We observed a higher incidence rate of autoimmune diseases, especially rheumatoid arthritis, in MG patients after thymectomy. The most common types of ADs after thymectomy were different from those before thymectomy. New onset ADs tended to occur in female and young nonthymoma MG patients. The postoperative effect of MG was not...

Conclusions: This study shows that in our hands, the test–retest reliability of the ROVEMP is not optimal. Measurements with higher reference amplitude had a better quality, higher reproducibility, and increased diagnostic yield. We caution against the use of ROVEMP measurements of lower amplitude in clinical practice. In addition, given the...
