    • Conclusion/Relevance: “[O]ur current clinical trial supports the beneficial effect of resistance exercise in attenuating vestibular symptoms among VM patients, particularly after four months of frequent intervention. Our study promotes an exercise-oriented treatment scheme in rehabilitation therapy for patients suffering from VM [vestibular migraine], and sheds light on the molecular mechanism potentially involving TNF-α and IFN-γ related inflammation pathways.”
    • In the current study, 312 participants with VM were randomized to resistance-exercise or relaxation-control groups. Follow-up was at 2 and 4 months.
    • At 2 months, resistance exercise was slightly more beneficial at relieving VM symptoms, whereas at 4 months, it was much better at relieving VM symptoms. Serum levels of inflammatory markers were significantly lower in the resistance-exercise group.
    • “Physical exercise is considered an effective way of attenuating migraine symptoms, including decreasing the number of migraine days and reducing pain intensity, frequency and duration,” wrote the authors.
