Conclusions: The results of this registry study suggest that in addition to the effect on the monthly number of migraine days documented in clinical trials, erenumab can significantly reduce the number of headache-related sick leave days and health care visits in employed patients with migraine managed in routine clinical practice.

In this narrative review we provide an update and a critical analysis of available data on miRNAs and migraines in order to propose possible interpretations. Our main objective is to stimulate research in an area that holds promise when it comes to providing reliable biomarkers for theoretical and practical scientific advances.

In this article, we discuss the mechanisms linking migraines and strokes, briefly discuss the pathogenesis, and explore the risk factors contributing to the association therein. In addition, we examine the relationship between migraines and ischemic strokes, as well as hemorrhagic strokes, and review management considerations.

Conclusions: Chronic tension-type headache and chronic migraine showed similar psychophysical results, but were significantly worse when compared to controls. The psychophysical examination did not discriminate between headache types. The variable best explaining headache frequency for both headache types was neck disability.

We feel that these miRNAs may represent useful tools to uncover and define different phenotypes across the migraine spectrum with different treatment susceptibilities and clinical features, although further studies are needed to confirm our hypothesis.
