Conclusions: These results suggest clinical utility of non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation for migraine prevention, particularly for patients who have migraine with aura, and reinforce the well-established safety and tolerability profile of this therapy.

Huma Sheikh, CEO, NY Neurology Medicine, PC4yrThis is very important because we need more interventions that are not medications and possible tolerable in pregnancy, breast feeding or non oral. Good to see this.
Conclusion: RLS was more severe in patients with comorbid migraine. Vitamin D, calcium, and iron levels were significantly lower and inflammation markers were higher in all RLS patients. We think that further investigation of the underlying mechanisms of these two diseases and the results of population- based studies will enable clearer...
Nutrients to Improve Mitochondrial Function to Reduce Brain Energy Deficit and Oxidative Stress in Migraine
Source : https://www.mdpi.com/2072-6643/13/12/4433
The mechanisms of migraine pathogenesis are not completely clear, but 31P-nuclear magnetic resonance studies revealed brain energy deficit in migraineurs. As glycolysis is the main process of energy production in...
The nutrients that can be considered to supplement the diet to prevent and/or ameliorate migraine are riboflavin, thiamine, magnesium ions, niacin, carnitine, coenzyme Q10, melatonin, lipoic acid, pyridoxine, folate, and cobalamin. They can supplement a normal, healthy diet, which should be adjusted to individual needs determined mainly by the...

Dr Hamid4yrintake of caffeine and alcohol should be fine-tuned to the history of their use, as withdrawal of these agents in regular users may become a migraine trigger
Inter-individual differences in pain anticipation and pain perception in migraine: Neural correlates of migraine frequency and cortisol-to-dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEA-S) ratio
Source : https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0261570
Previous studies targeting inter-individual differences in pain processing in migraine mainly focused on the perception of pain. Our main aim was to disentangle pain anticipation and perception using a classical...
Both results suggest exaggerated preparatory responses to pain or more general to stressors, which may contribute to the allostatic load caused by stressors and migraine attacks on the brain.

Conclusions and relevance: Results of this secondary analysis of 4 randomized clinical trials showed reduced migraine frequency and AMSM days with erenumab treatment in patients with migraine with and without a history of aura. The findings support the efficacy and safety of using erenumab in this patient population.
